Dated back to the 18th century it tells the story of Salento through space and light shaped by the so-called “pietra leccese”, a unique limestone rock formed millions of years ago from sea mud.
The ground floor of the masseria opens up beautifully to the outdoors and vice versa. The living rooms, the dining room and the kitchen are accessed through no fewer than 7 doorways nestled into stone arches. This unit also grants access to beautiful internal courtyards.
The interior design selected for the already highly distinctive spaces was chosen with care: a mix of understated design pieces alongside a few iconic examples of Italian and international furnishings.
All the rooms open beneath star-shaped and vaulted ceilings, an unmistakable signature of Salento’s architecture. Cocciopesto floors and the original decorated tile floors create an atmosphere of timeless authentic charm.
The various rooms come alive with books, objets trouvés collected during travels across the Mediterranean, as well as a piano inviting guests to play it during their stay.
